NOMADLIFE

                                Part I

Living with a nomad family is an experience that brings you in another world, a world without time and space: before internet and social media, before technology and electricity. This documentary shows the life of nomads in Song Kol Lake during the summertime, time of year when nomads move to the still cold and green grasslands of Kyrgyzstan to graze and live off what their animals have to offer.

Nomadic culture in Kyrgyzstan is a fundamental element of the country's history and national identity. Kyrgyz, who have followed a nomadic lifestyle for centuries, traditionally use tents called "yurts", designed to ensure mobility and adaptability to the changing climate conditions of the mountainous regions. This way of life is characterized by a deep connection with nature, in particular herding practices that allow the best use of environmental resources. In addition, cultural aspects and traditions related to nomadic life continue to influence the daily life of Kyrgyz, helping to keep alive their rich cultural heritage and foster a strong sense of community and belonging.
